John H. Murray, 54, of Whiting, passed away Monday, March 9th. Born in Perth Amboy to William H. and Carletta (Anderson) Murray, he grew up in Cliffwood Beach. John had a deep love for automobiles, working for over 20 years with Honda in as an A-Tech Master Technician. He was an avid classic car enthusiast, John loved car shows and auctions, as well as watching the races at Wall Stadium Speedway. Over the years, he had owned many collectible vehicles, but his all-time favorite was his white and turquoise 1960 Impala. John had a heart of gold and he cared deeply about the people around him. He was genuine and honest, willing to take anyone under his wing to help them out. John also brought plenty of levity with his jokes and pranks. His is deeply missed by all who have been blessed by the gift of his love and presence. In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his wife, Barbara R. Murray and his sister, Barbara C. Murray. John is survived by his loving and dedicated partner, Susan Mackiewicz; his cherished children, Candis Judd Murante and husband Robert, and Laryssa Dandeneau; loving grand-children, Hunter and Nixon Murante; and beloved siblings, Bill Murray and wife Kelly, and Mary Mikre and husband Rob. John was also the caring uncle of Angela Givian and her children, Avianna, Will, and her grand-daughter Aurora; Maeve Stoltz and husband Derek, and their daughter Freya; and William Murray. John also leaves behind his beloved furry-friends, Cooper Puppy and Bella Boo Cat.
